Amman, July 14 (Petra) -- President of Jordan Academy of Arabic (JAA), Mohammad Adnan Al-Bakhit, and Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei on Tuesday discussed ways to strengthen the academy's cultural and academic ties with Chinese universities that teach Arabic.

During a visit by Guo Wei and his accompanying delegation to the academy headquarters, the two sides explored opportunities for exchanging expertise, discussing challenges facing language education and knowledge dissemination amid current digital transformations, according to an academy statement.

Al-Bakhit briefed the delegation on the JAA's establishment, mission and role in preserving and promoting the Arabic language, while keeping pace with scientific and technological developments.

For his part, Guo Wei praised the academy's role and highlighted the global cultural significance of the Arabic language and its role as a bridge connecting peoples.
