29/ 26 Gaza Children Return After Treatment in Jordan

Amman, July 8 (Petra) -- Twenty-six Palestinian children and 54 accompanying family members returned to the Gaza Strip on Wednesday via the King Hussein Bridge after completing medical treatment at Jordanian hospitals under the Kingdom's "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative.

During their stay in Jordan, the children received specialized medical care in line with the highest healthcare standards after being evacuated from Gaza by the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO)

In press remarks, family members expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II and the JAF for their humanitarian and medical efforts in supporting the people of Gaza, praising "quality" of care and treatment their children received during their stay in Jordan.

Hundreds of children from Gaza continue to receive treatment in Jordan under the medical evacuation program launched in March 2025.

Since announcing the initiative, Jordan affirmed patients and their companions would return to Gaza after completing treatment, allowing new groups of patients to be evacuated for care in Jordanian hospitals while reiterating the Kingdom's longstanding support for Palestinians and its commitment to helping them remain on their land.
