Amman, July 8 (Petra) - Power has been restored across Kuwait and Bahrain following "widespread" outages due to several downed overhead transmission lines, according to respective authorities on Wednesday.

Several power transmission lines had gone out of service late Tuesday, said Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, triggering electricity outages in multiple areas across the Gulf country.

Meanwhile in Bahrain, the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) said it had dealt with a "limited" power outage affecting several regions of the country.
