36/ Jordanian ministerial delegation continues European tour in Netherlands
Amman, January 28 (Petra) – The Jordanian ministerial delegation continued its European tour on Wednesday with a visit to the Netherlands, as part of preparations for the Jordanian-European Investment Conference. The delegation comprises Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, Minister of Investment Tariq Abu Ghazaleh and Jordan's Ambassador to the Netherlands Khaled Qadi. During the visit, the delegation held a dialogue session with Dutch Minister for Trade and Development Auke de Vries, Dutch Ambassador to Jordan Stella Korth, representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Invest International, the Dutch Business Council for the Middle East and North Africa, as well as representatives from Dutch economic, investment and private-sector institutions. The delegation highlighted Jordan's key competitive investment advantages, opportunities to expand economic partnerships and avenues for translating Jordanian-European cooperation into viable development and investment projects that would support economic growth in the Kingdom. Minister Toukan emphasised the strategic partnership between Jordan and the European Union, which she said is rooted in longstanding historical ties and shared human values. She stressed the importance of strengthening development cooperation to support national priorities and achieve sustainable growth. Minister of Investment Tariq Abu Ghazaleh underscored Jordan's safe and stable investment environment, noting the promising opportunities created by the Kingdom's skilled human resources and diverse natural assets. He highlighted government efforts to simplify investment procedures, promote public-private partnerships and focus on projects with sustainable economic impact. Ambassador Khaled Qadi reviewed the strong diplomatic relations between Jordan and the Netherlands, which span more than 75 years, stressing the importance of building on these ties to expand economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. Dutch participants expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Jordan, particularly in light of the upcoming Jordanian-European Investment Conference, which they said would serve as an important platform for enhancing economic and investment cooperation between Jordan and the European Union. //Petra// AK
