28/ 130 arrested in Israeli raids in occupied West Bank, settlers breach Al-Aqsa Mosque
Occupied Jerusalem and Ramallah, Jan 28 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces detained 130 Palestinians on Wednesday during raids in Jerusalem and towns and villages across the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Society. It said troops carried out search-and-arrest operations in several areas of East Jerusalem, and stormed the villages of Burin and Madama near Nablus, where they took over buildings and turned them into interrogation centers. Army jeeps also rolled into Akkaba village near Tubas and Imatin near Qalkilya in the northern West Bank. In occupied Jerusalem, dozens of hardline settlers breached the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound/ Haram Al Sharif under heavy police escort and performed prayers, while police imposed tight restrictions on the access of worshippers and Jerusalemites to the complex. //Petra//SS
