36/ Culture Minister hails Bahrain's long history, deep-rooted culture, civilization
Amman, Jan. 27 (Petra) - Minister of Culture Mustafa Rawashdeh expressed his thanks and appreciation to Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his support in developing relations between the two countries at all levels. According to a statement issued by the ministry, Rawashdeh affirmed during his meeting with the Crown Prince on Tuesday at Al-Qudaibiya Palace in the Bahraini capital, Manama, the historical fraternal relations between the two brotherly kingdoms, which have been strengthened by His Majesty King Abdullah II and his brother His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Rawashdeh noted that the strong and deep-rooted Jordanian-Bahraini relations draw their strength from the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and continue to grow deeper and more developed through their keenness to do everything that would elevate bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Rawashdeh, who is visiting Bahrain upon an invitation to attend the opening of the Rashid bin Khalifa Art Group headquarters, added that the relationship is marked by the convergence of views on Arab and international issues and by strengthening Arab solidarity to confront challenges and shape the features of a shared Arab future. During the meeting, the culture minister said that Bahrain is rich in its history and profound in its culture and civilization rooted in time and extending to the Dilmun civilization and is also rich in its cultural and artistic production. He invited Bahrain to participate as the guest of honor at the Amman International Book Fair and the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts. For his part, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed that the solid fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan continue to witness progress and development in various fields, reflecting the depth of the historical ties between the two brotherly countries. He noted that aspects of cooperation and coordination between the two countries receive the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his brother His Majesty King Abdullah II. He stressed that Bahrain is keen to continue the paths of strategic partnership with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and to expand their horizons toward more advanced levels, based on the firm relations linking the two countries in various fields, in a way that contributes to achieving the shared aspirations of the two countries and their peoples. He concluded by stressing the importance of the cultural dimension in strengthening frameworks of bilateral cooperation as a starting point for consolidating mutual understanding and supporting partnership paths in various fields. //Petra// AF
