Amman, Jan. 22 (Petra)-- Secretary General of the Ministry, Engineer Amani Azzam, on Thursday attended "Harvest of Achievement and Future Outlook 2025" event, organized by the Regional Network for Energy for Women in the Middle East and North Africa (RENEW MENA) in cooperation with the World Bank. Azzam said the event showcased the network’s key achievements and successes, which are important for bringing together partners from the public and private sectors, academia, and schools. She noted Jordan is "proud that the network’s national chapter now includes 32 active partners, who play a significant role in supporting women working in the energy sector and empowering them to assume leadership positions in their workplaces." Azzam said Jordan seeks to achieve further progress in 2026 and expand the network to other sectors, such as water and the environment, thanking all partners for their efforts and contributions. In turn, RENEW MENA Network Leader Yousra Assaker praised the "strong" support the network receives from senior leadership at the highest levels, which had a "clear impact on achieving its goals." As for the past year's "notable" achievements, she expressed appreciation to all partners and supporters. Assaker added that 2026 will focus on building on these accomplishments through new plans and programs aimed at reaching a larger number of women, particularly in outlying governorates. On the sidelines of the event, Azzam honored several institutions for their key role in supporting the work and activities of the RENEW MENA Jordan chapter over the past year. //Petra// NQ
