Amman, Jan. 22 (Petra) – Minister of Social Development Wafaa Bani Mustafa attended the graduation ceremony for participants in the "Life" project at the Royal Cultural Center on Thursday, organized by the Action for Humanity (AFH) – Jordan Branch. In her opening remarks, Bani Mustafa said the AFH-implemented program represents a developmental and social model for empowerment and capacity building. Bani Mustafa noted this activity offered the necessary skills to beneficiaries to launch their own sustainable projects, which would foster self-employment and productivity opportunities and contribute to their active economic participation. Bani Mustafa highlighted the importance of the program's specialized training in the handicrafts, 3D printing, and cosmetics fields. On its scope, she said the program was implemented in the Karak and Mafraq governorates, and featured training in administrative and financial skills related to project management. She noted the "graduation is the result of determination and perseverance, which represents a success story." As part of its ongoing efforts to support and encourage the economic empowerment of the most vulnerable groups, she said the ministry provides an opportunity to benefit from the Productive Families Program, which supports productive and sustainable projects and contributes to improve economic families' conditions to access employment opportunities. Bani Mustafa emphasized the importance of the participation of 39 trainees with disabilities in this program, which aligns with the national trend of integrating people with disabilities. This integration is reflected in the comprehensive and holistic view of their rights, which embodied in the system of services provided by the ministry in the areas of early intervention and inclusive services, as well as their rights to education, employment, health, and all other rights, she pointed out. In turn, Khuloud Tawila, Representative of the Action for Humanity office, said the project embodies a "true model" of empowerment based on work and dignity. She stated women are provided practical skills applicable in the labor market to building a "clearer and more confident" future for the participants. The project contributed to the graduation of 300 participants, including women with disabilities, within the framework of enhancing opportunities for economic and social inclusion, she pointed out. //Petra// AG
