19/ 12th Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum Opens in Amman

Amman, Jan. 22 (Petra) -- The 12th Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum (PJBF), themed: "Partnership and Business Meeting," opened in Amman and attended by over 250 business leaders from Jordan and Palestine to enhance bilateral trade and build economic partnerships.

Türkiye’s Ambassador to Jordan Yakup Caymazo?lu, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry Fathi Jaghbir, and commercial attachés from the Tunisian, Pakistani, Chinese, and Turkish embassies in the Kingdom attended the meeting.

Talking at the opening ceremony, Jaghbir urged business forums to strength ties among business leaders and foster investment partnerships.

Jaghbir said Jordan’s industrial sector seeks to increase exports to Palestine by deepening cooperation with the Palestinian private sector and overcoming obstacles imposed by Israel.

In turn, Ambassador Gülmaz reaffirmed Türkiye’s keenness to expand investments in Jordan and contribute to developing the industrial capacities of both Jordanian and Palestinian sectors.

He said Turkish companies are focused on investing in the region and building partnerships, noting that Jordan remains a symbol of security and stability, a key economic advantage.

Chairman of the forum’s board, Nazmi Al-Atma, said the participation of Palestinian counterparts from the Nablus Businessmen Forum and the Hebron Business Forum strengthens trade exchange between Jordan and Palestine by providing a platform for business leaders to present their companies and establish direct communication.

Noting participation of around 32 Palestinian companies, he noted this engagement represents a "wide range" of industrial and commercial sectors, including food, chemicals, furniture, timber, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and vehicle trade.

President of Nablus Businessmen Forum, Jihad Al-Banna, said the forum serves as a strategic platform for exchanging expertise, building trust, and opening new horizons for joint cooperation and investment.

He added that the forum offers a "genuine" opportunity to launch new partnerships, enhance private-sector cooperation in both countries, and create "tangible" investment opportunities across sectors, describing the cooperation as a "strategic" step toward regional integration and sustainable development.
