The efforts also aim to improve the business environment, and providing technical and financial support through the Industrial Support Fund for programs designed according to the needs and requirements of different sectors. Also under the MoU, production from the project must commence within two years of the signing date of the investment contract , while the project must generate at least 30% locally sourced added value and production inputs must be 100% Jordanian-made. The MoU also requires creation of a total of 1,300 job opportunities for residents of the Southern Ghor region, including 450 direct and 600 indirect jobs, as well as a commitment to provide a training plan for employees in cooperation with relevant authorities. The memo aims to enhance cooperation among the four signatory parties to implement investment incentives in the Southern Ghor Agricultural Industrial Estate, which was previously approved by the Cabinet. These incentives are designed to develop small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and provide subsidies for their electricity costs in the agricultural sector. This effort will contribute to reducing production costs, increasing competitiveness of food industries that rely on local agricultural products, and boosting the added value of the national economy. //Petra// AG
