The conference aims to enhance investment opportunities in the Kingdom as a safe and stable environment and to create an interactive space that brings together diplomats, media professionals, and local, Arab, and international investors to develop future-oriented visions supportive of the national economy. Nawaiseh stressed the importance of integration between media, diplomacy, and the economy in enhancing Jordan’s presence at the international level, pointing to the role of the media as a key partner in building trust and supporting the investment environment. He affirmed that the ministry is working to develop a modern government communication system that keeps pace with digital transformation. He also pointed to the importance of consistency in government messaging and facilitating access to information, in addition to the role of responsible media in crisis management and in strengthening Arab partnerships in the field of government communication. For her part, Director of the Pioneer Center Rania Haddadin stressed the importance of the conference in strengthening the relationship between media and investment, and the role of media discourse in promoting Jordan’s economic opportunities abroad and creating an attractive environment for investors. In turn, President of the Amman Chamber of Industry Fathi Al-Jaghbir said the Jordanian industrial sector is among the most prominent economic pillars that deserve advanced diplomatic and media support, noting that the sector’s contribution exceeds 25 percent of gross domestic product, rising to more than 44 percent directly and indirectly due to its linkage with various economic sectors. He added that industry represents about 40.8 percent of total national production, with an annual production capacity of around 18 billion dinars, noting that nearly one-third of economic growth over the past decade was driven by the industrial sector and that citizens clearly felt this impact, especially with increased demand for national products during the coronavirus crisis. Meanwhile, Lebanese media figure and poet Zahi Wehbe expressed his happiness at participating, extending greetings to Amman. He said the Jordanian capital is a city that gives its visitor a sense of familiarity and belonging for what it carries of history, culture and natural beauty, affirming that it stands like a bride on seven hills that encapsulate the region’s history and embody its civilizational depth. //Petra// AF
