  26/ Umm el-Jimal municipality, Italian NGO launch "Learn to Work" project

Mafraq, Jan. 19 (Petra) - Head of the Umm el-Jimal Municipal Committee Mohammad Abu Ulaim discussed on Monday at the municipality headquarters with representatives of Italy's Fondazione Giovanni Paolo II (John Paul II Foundation for dialogue, cooperation, and development) the start of implementing the "Learn to Work" project, aimed at supporting the local community and enhancing small-scale projects.

During the meeting, the project's objectives and implementation mechanisms were reviewed. The project will run for 30 months in partnership with the Umm el-Jamal Municipality, contributing to empowering members of the local community, particularly youth and women, through capacity building, developing entrepreneurial skills, and enhancing opportunities to establish sustainable small projects.

Abu Uleim stressed the importance of this type of development project, which has a positive impact on the area's economic and social sectors, noting the municipality’s readiness to provide the necessary support and cooperation to ensure the project’s success and achieve its objectives.

Representatives of the John Paul II Foundation expressed their appreciation for the cooperation with the Umm Al-Jamal Municipality, affirming their commitment to implementing the project in line with best practices and in a manner that achieves tangible development impact, serving the local community.
