31/ Infrastructure work begins for second phase of Abdali project

Amman, January 7 (Petra) – The Abdali Investment and Development Company on Wednesday officially launched infrastructure works for the second phase of the Abdali project during a signing ceremony with Ahmed Yousef Tarawneh & Partner, the approved contractor.

According to a company statement issued Wednesday, the move marks the start of the project's largest expansion to date, with planned development exceeding 1.2 million square meters.

The second phase is expected to strengthen Abdali's urban and economic footprint in the heart of Amman, building on the achievements of the first phase, according to the statement.

The agreement was signed by Amer Fayez, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Abdali Investment and Development Company, and Ahmed Tarawneh, signaling the transition of the second phase from strategic planning to on-the-ground implementation.

Described as the most ambitious stage of Abdali's development, the launch of the second phase moves the project from readiness to execution through integrated infrastructure works implemented in line with the highest international standards.

The expansion aligns with His Majesty King Abdullah II's vision of promoting investment-led development and stimulating economic growth in Jordan.

The second phase builds on the success of the first phase, which established Al-Abdali as a fully integrated urban destination with high occupancy rates.

Infrastructure works under the new phase will pave the way for a fresh wave of local and foreign investments by opening opportunities for strategic mixed-use projects, offering investors flexibility and long-term value.

Once completed, the second phase is expected to generate significant economic benefits, including job creation, stimulation of local supply chains and increased demand across multiple sectors.

Through this expansion, Al-Abdali is set to further consolidate its position as a leading model of public-private partnership, demonstrating how integrated planning and disciplined execution can deliver forward-looking urban development projects.

Fayez said that signing the infrastructure contract for the second phase represents a pivotal milestone in Al-Abdali's development, as the largest expansion phase officially gets underway.

He noted that the move reflects the confidence of government partners, shareholders and investors in the foundations established during the first phase and in the company's ability to deliver large-scale projects.

He added that Jordan continues to offer a competitive and supportive investment environment and that the infrastructure works provide the foundation for translating this confidence into sustainable growth and long-term value.
