  5/ Crown Prince brings future technologies to Kingdom, announces documentation of Jordanian narrative 

Amman, Jan. 1 (Petra) Barakat Al-Zuyoud - Another year has gone by in Jordanian history, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II has devoted his time to keeping an eye on, organizing, and supervising programs that improve the skills and status of young Jordanians. He interacted with them in every area, supporting initiatives that advance Jordan's future on a national, technological, and global scale. Additionally, he personally concentrated on recording and conserving the Jordanian story.
His Highness held seven meetings in a row in 2025 to discuss the advancement of Jordan's use of cutting-edge technology and how to use it to deliver government services. He met with young people who were following in Al-Hssein's footsteps, honored creative high school graduates, met with economic leaders, visited the Jordanian pavilion in Osaka, Japan, and spoke with world leaders about everything related to humanitarian issues worldwide.
His Highness the Crown Prince monitored the execution of future technology-related plans, initiatives, and activities in 2025. In subsequent meetings, he emphasized the necessity of implementing new and high-quality projects that keep up with the technology sector's future in a way that benefits the country's economy. He also emphasized that the Council's work should be reflected in current government initiatives, such as data management and digital transformation, the development of technical human resources, the expansion of the use of artificial intelligence, the significance of coordination between the public and private sectors, the use of Jordanian expertise both inside and outside the Kingdom, and making audacious choices within strategic plans in order to achieve quantifiable outcomes.
As part of the National Council for Future Technology's initiatives to improve the quality of medical services offered, the Jordanian Digital Health Center was opened in the Qasaba Al-Salt neighborhood.

He had a tour of the facility, which has computerized units for telemedicine, dialysis, imaging, and critical care. It aims to close the gap in uncommon medical specialty and save patients time and effort. He was briefed on the Council's future goals and initiatives to improve the quality of health services at a meeting of the Council for Future Technology's Digital Committee concerned with the health sector, which was held at the center. In order to observe the reality services, he also went to the recently renovated Al-Salt Comprehensive Health Center.
In collaboration with the World Economic Forum, the Council hosted the Future Forum 2025 in Amman, which His Highness supported. The forum's goal was to coordinate efforts to advance technology use in important areas that benefit citizens and boost economic expansion. There were about 100 experts and specialists in the field of information technology, as well as representatives from large international technology corporations.
Additionally, His Highness opened Aqaba Digital City, one of the biggest data centers and digital infrastructure complexes in the area and Jordan's first integrated digital project.

He visited its facilities, which include the Kingdom's largest data center, which is over 17,000 square meters in size and has a 12 megawatt operating capacity, equipped to handle artificial intelligence.
As part of his continuous interaction with the populace, His Highness met with officials and delegates from the Tafila Governorate in the Dana area. Numerous concerns that the local community was concerned about were discussed at the meeting.

His Highness emphasized the Tafila people's contribution to the creation and defense of Jordan, especially their sacrifices during the Great Arab Revolt. In order to serve as a resource for future generations, he underlined the significance of recording the Jordanian story with the involvement of all citizens and institutions.

Additionally, His Highness presided over a meeting of the executive program preparatory committee for the 2026–2027 strategy for cleanliness and minimizing careless trash disposal.

His Highness emphasized the significance of the government's initiatives to lessen the haphazard disposal of rubbish in public areas and that addressing regional and economic issues shouldn't take precedence over concentrating on a fundamental issue like public space cleaning. Maintaining the cleanliness of public spaces is a moral and religious obligation and is essential to the operation of some important economic sectors, including tourism.

Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of coordinating with all relevant parties in order to raise community awareness, upgrade infrastructure, and embrace any suggestions that help the program succeed all of which call for teamwork.
The winners of the second Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work for 2024 were met by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, who commended their efforts for their beneficial effects on society in a number of areas. The award seeks to foster a culture of volunteering, encourage social responsibility, and recognize exceptional volunteer work that benefits nearby communities and advances sustainable development.
During the second phase of the economic modernization vision workshops at the Royal Court, His Highness participated in a portion of the dialogue session on the communications and information technology sector. In order to meet the demands of the labor market, he emphasized the significance of this sector and using its tools to improve the quality of services offered to citizens and make their lives easier.

He also emphasized the necessity of the public and private sectors working together to develop this field in order to boost economic growth and give young people employment opportunities. Finally, he emphasized the importance of creating study programs for technology-related specializations in universities.
At the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center in the Dead Sea region, His Highness sponsored the opening of the Cybersecurity Advancement, Innovation, and Technology Conference and Exhibition (C8) 2025. The conference covered the most recent advancements in the field of cybersecurity, strategies for improving strategic communication to spur innovation, and methods for international collaboration to tackle the escalating difficulties in the digital realm. Leaders in the international technology industry, cybersecurity specialists, innovators in technology, and decision-makers were among the participants.
His Highness opened the Government Services Center in Madaba Governorate in 2025. It offers 118 services from 24 government agencies and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. You can use the "Sanad" app to schedule an appointment or come in person to the center to receive the services.
Given their critical role in expanding residents' access to high-quality services, His Highness underlined the significance of carrying out the expansion plan to create government service centers in all governorates.

He emphasized how important it is to make e-government services accessible for the majority of transactions, doing away with the need to visit government agencies and institutions until absolutely necessary.

His Highness oversaw the restoration of the comprehensive Jerash Health Center, which had been shuttered for renovation at the end of the previous year. He examined the state of the governorate's healthcare system and emphasized the necessity of adding more medical and administrative personnel to the facilities where patients from the newly opened government services.
He examined the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship's programs and upcoming initiatives and emphasized the significance of connecting and unifying government databases. He also highlighted the necessity of creating an institutional culture regarding the use and management of data and the significance of guaranteeing accuracy in data recording in order to enhance electronic government services and make them easier for citizens to access.
In 2025, he stressed the significance of creating a tourist sector action plan for the upcoming time frame, guaranteeing the sustainability of tourism-related activities, and emphasizing investment potential. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of reviving tourism, improving the visitor experience, and investing in wellness tourism destinations by fortifying ties with the business sector.

During his visit to the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, he stressed the need to improve the city's development, tourism, and investment environments as well as the services the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority offers to residents and investors.
The Aqaba National Vocational Training Complex, which is affiliated with the National Employment and Training Company, was inaugurated by the Crown Prince.

He emphasized the significance of the complex's role in training and qualifying the youth of Aqaba and the southern governorates, giving them the skills necessary for the labor market, and the necessity of strengthening partnerships with economic sectors and pertinent authorities to ensure the sustainability and quality of training programs.

His Highness sponsored the closing ceremony of the 32nd session of the local and international Hashemite competition for men to memorize and recite the Holy Quran on March 26. The competition is held annually at the King Hussein Bin Talal Mosque and is organized by the Ministry of öAwqaf, Islamic Affairs. Since its inception in 1993, approximately 33,000 contestants have competed, producing many male and female memorizers of the Book of God. His Highness presented certificates of appreciation to the nine judging committee members as well as the winners, who totaled 35 in the local competition and 6 in the international competition.
The 2025 Hashemite Scientific Councils were inaugurated in the Islamic Cultural Center of the King Abdullah I Mosque by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II. He was present at the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs' 116th Scientific Council, the first of this year, which was themed "The Hadiths upon which Islam is based according to the scholars of the nation, may God have mercy on them." The councils aim to emphasize the role of experts in leading the country, elucidating Sharia decisions, stressing the moderation of the Islamic message and calling to it with wisdom and good counsel, illuminating several current situations, and elucidating the Islamic perspective.
His Highness spoke with a group of young people in the Wadi Al-Seer neighborhood about a number of subjects that were important to them and how to increase their involvement in the economy. The tourist, technology, and vocational training industries were the main topics of debate. In order to meet the substantial demand from young people for these programs, His Highness stressed that efforts are being made to enhance the number of training centers and institutes as well as the number of vocational training programs. He conveyed his optimism that government initiatives will enhance the sector's performance and its vital opportunities for youth.
His Highness met with young men and women from the Irbid Governorate and announced the National Service Program's return. He said that everyone who has taken part in the program understands its significance and that young people need to be ready to serve and defend their country. Serving alongside the courageous soldiers of the Jordanian Armed Forces, the Arab Army, fosters discipline and character development, he said, emphasizing the program's function in bolstering national identity and young people's connection to their homeland.
His Royal Highness persisted in promoting Jordan to the world throughout 2025, emphasizing its great worth and benefits, the skill and leadership of its people, and Jordan's crucial involvement in all issues that benefit humanity. During the 55th World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, with the theme "Collaboration for the Smart Age," His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein took part in a panel discussion about how to improve productivity and develop skills in the era of artificial intelligence.
After meeting with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, the Crown Prince met with Alastair King, the Lord Mayor of the City of London, to discuss the strategic partnership between Jordan and the United Kingdom and ways to improve cooperation in a number of areas, especially economic and technological, in support of the National Council for Future Technology's objectives.
He spoke with Daren Tang, the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization, about the close ties between Jordan and the organization and how to improve collaboration, particularly in support of the National Council for Future Technology's objectives.

Additionally, he met one-on-one with CEOs, founders, and representatives of several multinational corporations to discuss the benefits Jordan offers as an investment destination for businesses, particularly those in the technology sector. These benefits include trained young talent, technical infrastructure services, and training programs that support youth and equip them with technical and technological skills to prepare them for the workforce.

Additionally, he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Acting Chancellor of the Republic of Austria.
In the Turkish capital of Ankara, the Crown Prince met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an. The discussion focused on methods to increase collaboration in the areas of the economy, education, tourism, technical and vocational training, the military, and regional counterterrorism initiatives.

In Cairo, His Royal Highness also had a meeting with Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the president of Egypt. Their conversations centered on bolstering regional stability and stressed the necessity of establishing a political framework for reaching a fair and all-encompassing peace founded on the two-state solution. With East Jerusalem serving as its capital, this solution ensures the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the lines established on June 4, 1967.
His Highness met with U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright while in Washington, D.C. They talked about ways to promote Jordan's economic growth and energy security by increasing investment and cooperation with the United States in the energy and natural resources sectors.
Additionally, he met with Crown Prince of Japan Fumihito, Prince Akishino, to discuss ways to improve coordination and cooperation as well as the two nations' longstanding friendship, which is based on respect and shared values.

He met with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru in Tokyo and talked about the programs and projects of the National Council for Future Technology, which was founded to advance cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, advanced technology, and the investment ecosystem between Jordan and Japan.
He also met with the President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Akihiko Tanaka, to discuss mechanisms for expanding cooperation in economic and development fields.
Lastly, he met with the Chairman and members of the Jordanian-Japanese Parliamentary Friendship Committee, which consists of the Japanese Ministers of Justice and the Environment. He emphasized the strength of the relationship between Japan and Jordan, which has been based on respect and shared values for more than 70 years.
In Doha, His Highness met with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the State of Qatar's emir. Additionally, he met with Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob in the country's capital, Ljubljana, to discuss ways to strengthen their friendship. After that, His Highness met with Sir Keir Starmer, the British prime minister, in London to talk about the rich historical ties between Jordan and Britain and the significance of strengthening them via collaboration in a way that benefits both countries.
In London, he met with Pearson International executives and Yvette Cooper, the British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs, to express gratitude for the UK's recognition of the State of Palestine. He met Prince William, Prince of Wales, and Her Royal Highness Princess Catherine, Princess of Wales, at Windsor Castle after visiting His Royal Highness Prince William, Prince of Wales, at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. In addition, he met with Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, the British Chief of Defence Staff, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, the Speaker of the British House of Commons, and Sarah Champion, the Chair of the House's International Development Committee.
His Highness sponsored the opening of the Jordanian-British Information and Communications Technology Forum in London, where Jordanian entrepreneurs living in the UK were present along with about 120 representatives of top British firms with expertise in financial technology, educational technology, consulting, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, and creative industries.
His Highness met with leaders of British technology institutions, met with Emily Thornberry, the chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the British House of Commons, met with General Fabien Mandon, the chief of staff of the French Army, met with Khaled El-Enany, the Director-General-elect of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and then spoke with Gerard Larcher, the president of the French Senate, at the Senate headquarters in Paris about the depth of Jordanian-French relations and the necessity of expanding them.

He also visited the 42 global network that specializes in computer science and programming.

During their meeting at the Elysée Palace in Paris, His Highness and French President Emmanuel Macron talked about regional trends, ways to improve collaboration between Jordan and France, and a review of current ties.

His Highness met with the presidents of Bulgaria and Kosovo in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. On the fringes of the Future Investment Initiative conference, he also met with CEOs and founders of businesses in the economic and technological sectors to discuss ways to improve Jordan's relationship with these multinational corporations and to open up new avenues for investment in the Kingdom.
His Highness visited the Jordanian pavilion at the World Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan on May 7 and commended the efforts of the young Jordanians in charge of the pavilion, which showcases the Kingdom's most significant tourist, natural, and historical sites while also reflecting Jordanian heritage. In the presence of Hisako, Princess Takamado of the Japanese Imperial Family, he also saw the celebrations of Jordan's National Day, which took place as part of Expo 2025 Osaka in Japan.
