Amman, Deb 23 (Petra) - His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II chaired on Monday a regular meeting of the National Council for Future Technology, during which he directed the council to work on advancing scientific research and innovation in Jordan.



During the meeting, held at Al Husseiniya Palace, the Crown Prince emphasised the importance of setting priorities for scientific research, and leveraging Jordanian expertise and scientific institutions to boost investment in this vital field.



His Royal Highness said the updated version of the Sanad application must reflect a qualitative leap that facilitates its use.



The Crown Prince also stressed the importance of expediting efforts to create an enabling ecosystem to support Jordan’s efforts to become a hub for innovation and leadership in technology.



During the meeting, His Royal Highness was briefed on the progress of the council’s projects, and on recent digital developments introduced to litigation procedures, particularly the digital signature project.



Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Royal Scientific Society president and chair of the Princess Sumaya University for Technology’s board of trustees, Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, chairman of the National Council for Future Technology, members of the council, and Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Zaid Baqain attended the meeting.
