13/ ACI signs 6-month incubation contracts with 5 tech entrepreneurial projects

Amman, Feb. 5 (Petra) –Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI) signed incubation contracts with 5 tech-focused entrepreneurial projects and startups as part of the "Empowering Small and Medium Enterprises through Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) Technologies."

According to an ACI statement issued on Thursday, the program is now implemented in cooperation with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the InJo4.0 Competence Center, with support from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply.

The program aims to implement several initiatives and projects that serve digital transformation and application of 4IR technologies, in line with the Economic Modernization Vision.

The incubation services program aims to support and empower industrial and technological entrepreneurial projects to develop innovative solutions that address real challenges facing the Jordanian industrial sector.

The statement noted support also seeks to enhance digital transformation and the 4IR applications, in accordance with national trends towards building a knowledge-based and technology-driven economy.

The 6-month program guides participating projects through several phases and provides a "comprehensive" package of non-financial support, mainly mentorship, technical guidance, and specialized technical support.

Additionally, it provides access to technical facilities and laboratories, as well as support in developing prototypes and proving concepts, tailored to each project's stage and needs.

On the selection mechanism, the chamber said: "beneficiary projects were picked after a public call for applications and a rigorous technical assessment process, based on clear criteria and overseen by an ad hoc committee."

The chamber noted the program serves as a "practical" tool for strengthening the industrial entrepreneurship ecosystem and supporting innovation within the Kingdom's industrial sector.
