Amman, February 3 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Tuesday inaugurated the Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Complex in Amman, which is affiliated with the Royal Medical Services (RMS). According to a royal court statement, His Majesty, accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, was briefed by RMS Director Brig. Gen. Sahel Hammouri on efforts to develop medical services and build the capacities of qualified personnel to provide high-quality healthcare. During a tour of the complex, the King was briefed by the complex’s director Brig. Gen. Mohammed Khawaldehþ, who noted that the complex consists of two buildings, one for RMS subscribers and beneficiaries, and the other for treating civilians. He said the complex is expected to receive around 13,000 patients per month, which will reduce the number of patients visiting King Hussein Medical City. Khawaldeh added that the complex comprises 61 clinics covering seven specialisations in oral and maxillofacial surgery, two modern operating theatres, radiology departments, and specialised laboratories, and that it is equipped with the latest medical devices and equipment, and utilises artificial intelligence technologies in the planning and implementation of dental and facial implants. It also includes a training and simulation building. His Majesty commended the efforts of RMS personnel, noting the importance of the humanitarian and medical services they provide. //Petra// AK
