16/ Jordanian Nurses Deployed to Romania for Specialized Emergency Training

Amman, Feb. 3 (Petra) – The Jordanian Nursing Council announced Tuesday the deployment of the first group of Jordanian nurses this year to Romania to participate in a specialized training program in general emergency departments.

The Council’s Secretary-General, Hani Nawafleh, said the three-week program reflects the strong international relations of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein, President of the Nursing Council, and her recognition in global nursing and healthcare circles, which has facilitated high-quality partnerships with advanced medical institutions worldwide.

Nawafleh explained that the first group includes 11 nurses, selected from the University of Jordan, al-Abdali, al-Istiklal, and al-Khalidi hospitals. Subsequent groups will follow as part of a broader plan to develop national nursing staff in specialized emergency care and enhance their professional readiness.

The training will take place at Targu Mures State Emergency Hospital, a leading regional referral center in Romania, equipped with modern infrastructure, high bed capacity, and integrated emergency systems including ambulance services, medical evacuation, and critical case management.

He said the program provides participants with practical experience in advanced medical environments, enabling them to acquire specialized skills in emergency nursing, rapid response, multi-trauma management, and multidisciplinary teamwork in line with modern European protocols and professional standards.

Nawafleh affirmed the Nursing Council’s commitment to expanding international training programs, sending additional cohorts this year, and building strategic partnerships to prepare qualified nursing staff capable of meeting evolving demands in the health sector.
