22/ Senate official meets Czech ambassador to discuss cooperation
Amman, Feb. 2 (Petra) -- The Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Arab and International Affairs and Expatriates, Hani Mulqi, met Monday with Czech Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Kucerova to discuss strengthening relations and enhancing cooperation across key sectors. During the meeting, Mulqi highlighted the importance of expanding partnerships, particularly in the water, economic, and industrial sectors. He noted that Jordan maintains an open, stable environment characterized by security and safety, despite regional challenges. The senator underscored that achieving peace in the region is essential for stability and sustainable development, reaffirming Jordan’s steadfast commitment to dialogue at the international and global levels. The discussions also reviewed regional and international developments and emphasized the need for continued coordination between Jordan and the Czech Republic to advance a just and lasting peace. For her part, Andrea Kucerova expressed her country’s interest in Jordan’s water sector challenges and stressed the importance of joint efforts to identify sustainable solutions. She also highlighted Czech interest in the education sector, including establishing a cybersecurity specialization at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, and expressed hope for expanded cooperation in other sectors in the near future. //Petra// AJ
