8/ Al Aman Fund Renews Partnership with HyperMax to Support Education of Orphaned Youth
Amman, Aug. 20 (Petra) -- The Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans has renewed its partnership with HyperMax for the second consecutive year to support the "Return to Education" campaign, which seeks to help orphaned youth continue their education and build more stable and independent futures. According to a statement issued by the fund on Thursday, the campaign provides scholarships for higher education, along with housing support, monthly allowances, and skills development and capacity-building programs. It targets orphaned youth, including graduates of care homes who have reached the age of 18, as well as young people from various governorates whose economic circumstances prevent them from continuing their education. Under the partnership, HyperMax customers at branches across the Kingdom can contribute to the campaign by adding 10 piasters or more to their purchases at checkout. The contributions provide direct support for orphaned youth to continue their education. Director General of the Aman Fund Noor Al-Hamoud said renewing the partnership for a second year reflects cooperation between the private sector and community institutions in supporting sustainable outcomes. She added that supporting the education of orphaned youth is not limited to covering tuition fees, but also provides them with an opportunity to build their future with confidence and move toward independence and self-reliance. She stressed the importance of community participation in supporting the fund’s mission. Jerome Akel, Regional Director of Majid Al Futtaim Retail – HyperMax Jordan, said the renewed partnership builds on the cooperation witnessed during last year’s campaign. He said allowing customers to contribute when completing their purchases provides a direct means of supporting higher education opportunities for orphaned youth. The statement said contributions from HyperMax customers during last year’s campaign helped cover education costs for 10 orphaned youth for a full academic year, in addition to covering monthly allowances and housing rent for two of them for a full year, enabling them to continue their education with greater stability. //Petra//WH
