Moscow, Aug. 19 (Petra) -- Russia’s foreign debt has increased by $6.5 billion since the beginning of the year, bringing the country’s total external debt to approximately $313 billion, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation announced Wednesday.

In a statement, the central bank explained that the figure reflects changes in the volume of foreign financial obligations across various economic sectors. Authorities continue to monitor debt levels and developments as part of an ongoing assessment of Russia's financial and economic position.
