Amman, Aug. 19 (Petra) -- Jordan delivered a strong performance at the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3) Asian Championships in Kazakhstan, collecting five medals and securing third place in the overall standings.

The Jordanian team claimed two gold medals and three bronze medals at the regional competition, finishing behind hosts Kazakhstan and Iran in the overall points ranking.

Dima Zbedieh opened Jordan’s gold-medal campaign by winning the women’s Masters 40–44 category. Dara Kayali and Sarah Abu Shawish then added a second gold after triumphing in the women’s doubles event.

Jordan also earned three bronze medals. Rawand Al-Daraawi finished third in the women’s individual competition, while Mohammad Al-Kurdi and Rima Al-Hajj secured bronze in mixed doubles. Laith Salam and Amin Atallah completed the medal haul with a third-place finish in the men’s doubles event.

Jordan fielded a 10-member team at the championships, which brought together 119 athletes representing nine countries: Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Iran, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Jordan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and South Korea.

The results underline Jordan’s growing presence in functional fitness across the Asian region, with the national team emerging as one of the leading performers at the championship.
