AMMAN, Aug. 15 (Petra) -- Acting on the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II following his visit to Maan Governorate last Wednesday, Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Al-Issawi met Saturday with 300 dignitaries, tribal leaders, and representatives from across the governorate at the Hashemite Court.

The gathering aimed to follow up on the region's primary needs and proposals, addressing community priorities that could not be fully explored during the royal field visit.

At the outset of the meeting--attended by Royal Adviser for Tribal Affairs Kanaan Al-Balgawi and moderated by Maan Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj--Al-Issawi conveyed the greetings and appreciation of His Majesty the King and Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to the people of Maan. He highlighted their deep-rooted role in national history, Jordan's founding, and the building of its civil and military institutions.

Al-Issawi emphasized that the directives to hold the meeting reflect the Hashemite leadership's ongoing commitment to direct public engagement, listening closely to citizens' aspirations and coordinating responses with relevant state entities.

He noted that while His Majesty continues his active diplomatic efforts defending Arab and Islamic causes--chiefly the Palestinian issue and the protection of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem--improving Jordanians' living standards, expanding economic production, and generating employment remain at the core of the King's domestic agenda.

Al-Issawi pointed to the King's continuous international outreach aimed at attracting foreign investment for developmental projects, designed to create jobs and stimulate economic growth. He added that royal initiatives implemented across Maan and other governorates are geared toward upgrading public services and opening up employment opportunities for youth.

The discussions provided a platform for community representatives to outline developmental and service needs across Maan’s districts and sub-districts. Key focus areas included equitable project distribution, reducing poverty and unemployment, prioritizing local workforce recruitment in existing and upcoming industrial ventures, and attracting new productive enterprises.

Participants also underscored the need for enhanced vocational training aligned with labor market demands in mining, manufacturing, tourism, and technology.
Infrastructure demands centered on road upgrades, traffic safety, municipal gateway refurbishments, water network expansions to resolve supply deficits, and the completion of public facilities. In healthcare, attendees called for expanded specialty clinics--particularly in cardiology, intensive care, dialysis, and pediatrics--alongside improved readiness for regional medical centers along major transit routes.

Educational demands featured calls to construct new schools to alleviate overcrowding, upgrade vocational institutions, and ensure greater geographic equity in public sector hiring based on seniority. Furthermore, participants emphasized the need to revitalize regional tourism, bolster small businesses and agricultural cooperatives, and expand inclusive education and employment frameworks for persons with disabilities.

Concluding the session, Al-Issawi affirmed that all raised proposals and grievances have been meticulously documented and will be presented directly to His Majesty the King before being coordinated with government agencies according to strict priorities and resource availability.

He reiterated that the doors of the Royal Hashemite Court remain open to the people of Maan and all Jordanians, with ongoing communication channels maintained to serve public needs.
