Amman, August 12 (Petra) - "National E-Invoicing System is a comprehensive initiative driving broader economic, administrative, and organizational benefits beyond tax compliance," Director of the Income and Sales Tax Department Hussam Abu Ali said on Wednesday.

Abu Ali described the system as a "milestone in standardizing commercial transactions across all goods and services." By offering a unified digital platform, it provides an accurate, verifiable record for financial, commercial, and administrative operations.

The system benefits businesses and economic sectors, he said, by providing electronic evidence of transactions, improving the accuracy of financial data and reducing errors and discrepancies in invoices.

The digital shift enhances transparency, simplifies audits, and protects the rights of buyers, sellers, and service providers, according to Abu Ali. A centralized database also equips public and private entities with "reliable transaction data" for financial operations.

The department published a directory of compliant taxpayers on its official website, allowing businesses and consumers to verify registered entities.
