Amman, August 11 (Petra) – The University of Jordan ranked first in Jordan, fourth in the Arab world, and 270th globally in the 2027 UNIRANKS World University Rankings, earning the "Elite Global University – Five Star" rating, the highest institutional recognition awarded by the ranking.

According to a university statement issued Tuesday, the achievement reflects the university’s academic and research standing regionally and internationally, as well as its performance in education, scientific research, student services and digital transformation.

The university achieved "Elite" ratings across several key indicators and "Outstanding" ratings in the remaining areas, demonstrating a balanced performance combining academic excellence with research strength.

The ranking evaluates educational quality, digital leadership and sustainable institutional impact.

The UNIRANKS assessment covers 36,000 universities and higher education institutions across 228 countries and territories, using hundreds of indicators and billions of interconnected data points to assess institutions worldwide.

The university stated that the ranking bears witness to the success of its strategy to advance education and research, improve the university environment and expand its international presence in line with its goal of becoming one of the leading universities in the Arab world and globally.
