  8/ Ministerial Meeting Begins in Amman to Formulate Common Position on Jerusalem

Amman, Aug. 5 (Petra) -- A meeting of Arab foreign ministers representing the member states of the Arab Ministerial Committee tasked with international action to address illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Jerusalem began in Amman on Wednesday.

The meeting also brings together the Secretary-General of the Arab League and the foreign ministers of Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, and Malaysia.

The meeting focuses on developments in Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites, with participants seeking to formulate a unified position in response to the escalating Israeli measures targeting the city's identity and its religious sanctities.

The committee includes, in addition to Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Iraq, Palestine, Qatar, Egypt, and Morocco, along with the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
