32/ National summer program for students ‘Basma’ launched
Amman, August 5 (Petra) – Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Independent Election Commission (IEC), launched the national summer program for students "Basma" (fingerprint) in 86 summer schools nationwide. The program will reach approximately 8,600 male and female students over two days of training, based on dialogue, activity, and interaction within classrooms. According to an IEC statement issued on Wednesday, the program discusses a slew of important issues, values, and themes related to the Jordanian flag, national identity, citizenship, the rule of law, dialogue, and awareness in political life. This vision is achieved by implementing "practical" exercises and applications, with the assistance of staff working with the IEC's program. Under supervision of IEC coordinators, the program targets 8th and 9th grade students, aged 14-16. Activities are conducted within the target classrooms, without the use of any electronic devices or presentations. //Petra// AG
