Amman, August 5 (Petra) - Al Hussein Youth Camps for work and construction have become a "national hub" for training, empowerment, and strengthening the system of values, the culture of volunteer work, and acquisition of new life skills.

In its 2026 edition, implemented by the Ministry of Youth under the theme: "Jordan's Independence 80," the camps are witnessing "broad" participation from various governorates of the Kingdom.

This year's camps aim to engage over 30,000 young men and women through 978 camps held across all governorates, in partnership with various official and national institutions.

On its goals, this initiative would enhance the youth role in development and provide "valuable" experiences that contribute to building their personalities and skills.

These camps reflect Royal directives to empower youth, instill loyalty values, and prepare a conscious generation of leaders by investing in their energies, enhancing their engagement in volunteer work, and developing their leadership and life skills.

These activities would also secure "feasible" experiences to face challenges through programs that combine theoretical training with practical and field application.

Offering a "diverse" range of programs, the 2026 activities feature both overnight and day-based options, which have seen a "notable" participation from young Jordanians living abroad, particularly in the "Jordanian Tourism Trails" camp.

This expat-designed camp provided young expatriates with the opportunity to explore the Kingdom's tourist and archaeological sites, discover Jordan's rich cultural and natural diversity, and strengthen their connection to their homeland and national identity.

It also offered a chance to interact with peers from different governorates and exchange experiences.
