Amman, April 29 (Petra) -- Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD17.7 million on Wednesday, as 7.7 million shares were traded across 5,524 transactions.

The general share price index rose to 3,932 points, up 0.66 percent, compared with the previous performance.

Indexes of the financial and industrial sectors increased by 1.34% and 0.57%, respectively, while the services sector declined by 0.72 percent.

Of the 103 companies traded, 52 recorded gains, while 29 posted losses.
