Amman, April 28 (Petra) -- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi and Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Affairs Badr Abdelatty discussed efforts to build on a ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran to reach a sustainable solution addressing the root causes of past tensions and ensuring respect for international law and state sovereignty.

During a phone call on Tuesday, the two ministers stressed the importance of activating diplomacy and dialogue to end escalation in the region and restore security and stability.
