15/ 'Nashama' program to pick 30 new youth leaders-Ministry

Amman, April 28 (Petra) – The interview phase for the 4th cohort of national youth leadership training programme "Nashama," organised by Youth Leadership Development Centre, began Monday at the Ministry of Youth, reflecting the "continued investment in youth potential."

According to a ministry statement, an expert committee is overseeing the interviews to pick a select group of applicants, based on the center's established selection and evaluation criteria.

The center opened registration approximately a month ago, and applications were screened to meet verification procedures, based on established terms.

On eligibility criteria, applicants must be 18-30 years old and possess pioneering initiatives and projects with a social impact.

The "Nashama" programme aims to refine the youth leadership skills and transform their aspirations into tangible achievements by securing academic and practical training to become leaders capable of making a real difference in their communities.

The 4th cohort witnessed a "large" turnout of young people, as 276 participants reached the final interview stage, while 30 top achievers were selected.

The fourth cohort also saw a "comprehensive" development in its theoretical framework and training curriculum.

Currently consisting of 7 training phases, the programme now features a field visit phase to institutions and a component focused on youth political empowerment.

This step aligns with the Ministry of Youth's commitment to providing a supportive training environment and enabling Jordanian youth to actively contribute to the development process in their communities.
