Amman, April 28 (Petra) -- The Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) recorded a turnover of JD 19.7 million on Tuesday, with 6.7 million shares traded through 5,530 transactions.

The ASE general price index rose by 1.16 percent to close at 3,906 points.

At the sector level, the services index increased by 2.62 percent, the industrial index rose by 0.74 percent, and the financial index gained 0.51 percent.

Of the 97 companies traded, 49 closed higher and 18 declined compared with their previous closing prices.
