37/ Army evacuates 26th group of sick children from Gaza for medical treatment
Amman, April 27 (Petra) -- The Jordan Armed Forces evacuated the 26th group of sick children from the Gaza Strip on Monday, as part of a continuous humanitarian initiative to provide specialized medical care to Palestinians. The latest group consists of 81 children accompanied by 108 family members. The evacuation was carried out under the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative, a program launched following royal directives to support Gaza's healthcare needs. The children are scheduled to receive treatment at several Jordanian hospitals. This effort is part of the kingdom's broader medical and humanitarian missions aimed at providing essential healthcare and relief to those affected by the ongoing situation in the Palestinian territory. The medical evacuation program began in March 2025 and is managed in coordination with the Jordanian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. Officials noted that the process follows strict health and safety protocols to ensure the safe transfer of patients from the conflict zone to medical facilities in Jordan. //Petra// AF
