  34/ Irbid's Khalid bin Al-Walid municipality launches jewelry craft training with UNDP

Irbid, April 27 (Petra) -- The Khalid bin Al-Walid municipality in Irbid's Bani Kinana district announced on Monday the opening of registration for a specialized silver jewelry-making training program designed to boost economic empowerment and vocational skills.

The initiative is being implemented in coordination with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The nine-month training curriculum is divided into three integrated phases covering basic techniques, advanced craftsmanship, and product development. Sessions are scheduled to take place three days per week, with organizers requiring full commitment from participants throughout the duration of the course.

The program is open to both Jordanian and Syrian nationals interested in pursuing a professional career in the jewelry industry. Registration is scheduled to take place at Malka Park from Monday through Wednesday between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Municipal officials stated that priority for enrollment will be given to women and young job seekers.

The program aims to equip participants with technical and design expertise while facilitating links to tangible employment opportunities to help them build sustainable sources of income.
