Amman, April 26 (Petra) - Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu Al-Saud met on Sunday with the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Amman, Shahin Abdullayev, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties in water management, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation.

During the meeting, Abu Al-Saud emphasized the necessity of developing sustainable solutions to counter the impacts of global climate shifts. He outlined Jordan’s ongoing efforts in executing large-scale water and sanitation infrastructure projects and expressed the ministry's interest in broadening cooperation to serve the mutual interests of both nations.

The two sides also explored potential opportunities for Azerbaijan’s private sector to participate in upcoming Jordanian water projects.

Ambassador Abdullayev commended the Jordanian water sector’s proactive approach to addressing resource scarcity and securing reliable water supplies for its citizens. He praised the distinguished level of relations between Jordan and Azerbaijan, affirming a commitment to shared expertise in vital utility sectors.
