Amman, April 23 (Petra) -- Total trading volume of the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD17.1 million on Thursday, as 4.8 million shares were traded through 4,331 transactions.

The ASE general share price index fell 0.17 percent to close at 3,837 points.

Of the 91 companies whose shares traded, 44 recorded gains, while 22 went down, compared with their previous closing prices.

At the sector level, the industrial and services indexes fell 1.22% and 0.14%, respectively, while the financial index rose 0.19%.
