Zarqa, April 22 (Petra) – Education Director of Zarqa Second District, Wael Abu Foul, met with a UNICEF delegation to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and improve the educational situation in schools located in the Azraq refugee camps.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Abu Foul said students' learning-based empowerment within the camps is crucial for building their future, noting the partnership with UNICEF is the "cornerstone for transforming the vision of improving education into a tangible reality."

In turn, the UNICEF team commended the directorate's efforts in ensuring the educational sustainability for refugee students despite the challenges, reiterating the organization's commitment to continuing its technical and developmental support.

The two sides agreed to develop a joint action plan that features regular field visits and intensified coordination to implement specialized training programs for the camps' teachers.
