Irbid, April 21 (Petra) -- The West Irbid Integrated Youth Center launched the "Green Volunteering" program on Tuesday, an initiative implemented by the Ministry of Youth in partnership with UNICEF for 2026. The program brought together young women, aged 15 to 18, from the center's membership.

The program aims to empower youth to take an active role in addressing climate change, promote the principles of a green economy, and raise awareness regarding various environmental challenges.

Led by trainer Kholod Abu Ziad, the sessions covered the fundamentals of climate change, including its causes and global impacts. Participants discussed how environmental shifts affect biodiversity and public health, while emphasizing the concept of "environmental citizenship" as a core responsibility for the younger generation.
