Amman, April 21 (Petra) -- Total trading volume on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) reached JD14.9 million on Tuesday, with 4.3 million shares traded through 3,745 transactions.

The ASE general share price index inched up 0.01 percent to close at 3,818 points, as gains in the financial and services sectors offset a decline in the industrial sector.

The industrial sector index fell 1.71 percent, while the services sector rose 0.66 percent and the financial sector gained 0.24 percent.

Of the 91 companies whose shares traded on Tuesday, 33 posted gains, while 31 closed lower compared with their previous closing prices.
