Amman, April 20 (Petra) – A charter flight from France landed on Sunday at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), carrying 105 French tourists as part of an organised group visit to the Kingdom.

The flight was arranged by Atelier Voyages Travel and Tourism and supported by the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB).

In a statement issued on Monday, Director General Ramzi Maayta said the arrival of the charter flight from France reflects positive signs of recovery in inbound tourism and underscores Jordan's ability to strengthen its position on the global tourism map.

Maayta added that the Board, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and relevant partners, is working to revitalise the tourism sector through targeted marketing strategies and support programmes for charter and low-cost flights.

The efforts aim to respond to market dynamics, enhance the competitiveness of Jordan's tourism offering and attract more high-quality flights in the coming period.

Maayta noted that the arrival of direct charter flights from key tourism markets, along with renewed confidence in Jordan as a destination, reflects the impact of intensive promotional efforts carried out in cooperation with both public and private sector partners.

JTB's charter flight team welcomed the visitors upon arrival in cooperation with the French operator and its local agent, Plaza Tours. The team provided an overview of Jordan's main tourist attractions and the sites included in the group's itinerary.

The Board stated that it is committed to enhancing the visitor experience, improving service quality and promoting Jordan as a safe and diverse destination rich in authentic hospitality and home to several UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Several members of the French group expressed their appreciation for Jordan and its people, noting their enjoyment of the visit and overall tourism experience in the Kingdom.
