2/ Slight Temperature Dip Brings Mild Conditions with Fog and Dust Warnings
Amman, April 19 (Petra) -- A slight drop in temperatures is shaping Sunday’s weather, bringing mild conditions across most regions, while visibility concerns persist due to fog and dust, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department. Conditions remain mild across the country, with warmer weather continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low clouds are expected, with a limited chance of light morning showers in parts of the north. Winds are westerly and moderate, becoming more active toward the evening and raising dust, particularly in Badia regions. The Meteorological Department warned of reduced visibility during the early morning hours due to fog over high northern mountainous areas and parts of the plains. It also cautioned that dust stirred by active winds may further reduce visibility in desert regions later in the day. A further slight decline in temperatures is expected on Monday, with conditions turning somewhat cooler across most regions, while low-lying areas remain warm. Low cloud cover will persist, with a chance of light showers in limited northern areas. Winds will be northwesterly and moderate, becoming active at times. By Tuesday, conditions are expected to stabilize, with sunny and mild weather prevailing across most regions and warmer conditions continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will remain northwesterly and moderate. A gradual warming trend is forecast to resume on Wednesday, with temperatures edging higher and sunny, mild conditions across most regions, while relatively hotter weather returns to low-lying areas. Winds will shift from southeasterly to northwesterly by evening, remaining light to moderate. Temperature ranges on Sunday reflect the prevailing pattern, with East Amman forecast between 21 C and 11 C, and West Amman between 19 C and 9 C. Northern highlands will record 16 C to 7 C, while the Sharah highlands range between 17 C and 6 C. In the Badia, temperatures are expected between 26 C and 12 C, and in the plains between 21 C and 11 C. The northern Jordan Valley is forecast at 29 C to 15 C, rising to 32 C to 22 C in the southern valley. The Dead Sea will record 31 C to 21 C, while Aqaba reaches 31 C to 22 C. //Petra// RZ
