  35/ Jordan gears up for nationwide celebrations of Flag Day under "Our Flag is High" campaign

Amman, April 14 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Culture announced on Tuesday that nationwide celebrations for Jordanian Flag Day will take place this Thursday, organized under the national campaign theme "Our Flag is High".

In a statement, Minister of Culture Mustafa Rawashdeh emphasized that the Jordanian flag is a unifying national symbol that embodies the history, present, and future of the state. He noted that its colors represent the deep historical roots of the modern kingdom, linking it to the Great Arab Revolt and the Hashemite leadership.

Program Key Highlights

- Official Flag Raising: At 12:00 PM on Thursday, the Jordanian flag will be hoisted simultaneously across all governorates. The ceremonies, organized by the Ministry of Interior, will feature the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) musical bands, alongside official institutions, scouting groups, and popular delegations.
- Main Artistic Performances: Major concerts featuring prominent Jordanian artists will begin at 8:30 PM at the following venues:

Live Broadcast Locations
The festivities and performances will also be broadcast on large screens in several historic and cultural landmarks to ensure community participation, including the following:

- Salt: Salt Secondary School.
- Jerash: Jerash Cultural Center.
- Ajloun & Madaba: Respective Visitor Centers.
- Mafraq: The late Attallah Al-Shubeil Garden.
- Tafileh: Tafileh Reconstruction Corporation.
- Ma'an: Directorate of Culture.

The ministry noted that these celebrations aim to bolster feelings of national belonging and pride, with wide participation expected from both the public and private sectors.
