21/ PSUT among top 8 teams globally in strategic expansion challenge

Amman, April 13 (Petra) – A team of the King Talal School of Business Technology at the Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) achieved a key milestone qualifying for the top 8 teams in the 2026 Global Strategic Business Expansion Challenge globally, and the best team in the Middle East region.

The four-member "Auralis Team" also secured fourth place in the Asia-Oceania region in the competition, which was organized remotely by the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, PSUT said in a statement.

The event saw the participation of more than 65 teams from universities worldwide, including Boston University and several European universities.

It was the only Arab team to qualify at both regional and global levels, reflecting the advanced level of the university's students and their ability to compete internationally.

The team presented two advanced case studies of an applied surface engineering company, and a quantum chips firm, which included integrated engineering concepts, technical simulations, and strategic analysis, qualifying them for a top ranking among the top eight global teams.

The achievement underlines the quality of the university's academic programs, and highlights the ability of its students to compete and excel on the international stage, commented Wejdan Abu Elhaija, PSUT president.

It reflects the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the students and their supervisors, she said, adding that this success aligns with the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chair of the University's Board of Trustees, to support academic excellence and student leadership at both regional and global levels.

Dean of King Talal School of Business Technology, Adiy Tweissi, said the achievement proves the students' ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application and innovate in solving complex problems on a global scale.

The team underwent an intensive competitive journey of long hours of work and training, despite the challenges of time zone differences and academic pressure, demonstrating teamwork, professionalism, and determination throughout all stages of the competition, said Dalia Al-Eisawi, the team's supervisor.
