Amman, Sept 15 (Petra) – The GIFA Awards announced that the Islamic International Arab Bank (IIAB) has won the 2025 Championship Award in the Digital Banking category for excellence in Sharia-compliant digital banking during this year’s annual awards ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

According to the award’s press statement, the bank received the recognition for its achievements in pioneering and innovative digital banking services and products, its ambitious plans toward digital transformation, and its efforts to provide the best solutions in digital banking to meet customer needs. The selection was made by a panel of judges comprising leading academics and banking experts in Islamic finance.

The bank’s Director General, Iyad Al-Asali, said the award comes amid the bank’s accomplishments in its digital transformation, setting new standards of excellence and highlighting its record of achievements that reinforce its status as a leading Islamic financial institution.
