Amman, Sept 15 (Petra) – Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Saleh Kharabsheh, chaired on Monday the Energy Sector Partnership Meeting to review priorities under the Economic Modernization Vision (2026-2029).

The meeting tackled achievements, challenges, and ways to address priorities in line with the sector’s strategy and the modernization scheme. Kharabsheh called for collective efforts by various stakeholders to ensure the execution of projects according to timelines.

Amira Hunaiti of the Planning and International Cooperation Directorate gave a presentation on 16 accomplished projects and 36 others underway, along with four other initiatives.

Also giving a briefing was Lina Mobaideen of the Energy Efficiency and Climate Change Directorate, who reviewed a community plan to raise awareness on managing electrical loads to improve efficiency and ensure a reliable energy supply.

The meeting brought together Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission officials, and representatives of the National Electric Power Company, distribution companies, the Jordan Strategy Forum, chambers of industry and trade and the private sector.
