Amman, Sept 9 (Petra) – Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call Tuesday from U.S. President Donald Trump.

According to the Qatari News Agency, President Trump expressed solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemned the attack on its sovereignty. He emphasized that diplomatic solutions are capable of resolving regional issues and reaffirmed that Qatar remains a reliable strategic ally of the United States, urging the Emir to continue Qatar’s mediation efforts to end the war in Gaza.

Sheikh Tamim, for his part, strongly denounced the reckless attack as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and security, in clear breach of international law, holding Israel accountable for its aggressive policies that threaten regional stability and hinder efforts to reduce tensions and achieve sustainable diplomatic solutions.

The Emir called on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities regarding such violations and to hold those responsible accountable, expressing hope that the United States would support this just approach.

He affirmed that Qatar will take all necessary measures to protect its security and sovereignty and will continue its constructive role in supporting its brothers, friends, and just humanitarian causes, reinforcing the foundations of international peace and security.
