22/ Jordan, Bahrain Discuss Administrative Modernization, Cooperation
Amman, Sept. 9 (Petra) -- Secretary-General of the Lower House of Parliament Awad Ghweiri received a delegation from the General Secretariat of Bahrain’s Shura Council on Tuesday, headed by Head of Session Affairs Abdulrahim Buchiri. Ghweiri said the House is moving forward with administrative modernization as part of the broader reform process directed by His Majesty King Abdullah II with the start of the Kingdom’s second centennial. He explained that the House has restructured its administration and implemented comprehensive updates to meet the needs of the chamber and parliamentary blocs. He emphasized that restructuring the General Secretariat embodies the Royal vision of comprehensive modernization aimed at developing and streamlining the administrative apparatus, enhancing productivity, and raising performance efficiency. He added that such visits highlight the depth of distinguished Jordanian-Bahraini relations and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in exchanging expertise and parliamentary knowledge. For their part, the head and members of the Bahraini delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and praised the level of cooperation and development witnessed in the General Secretariat, particularly its transformation and nature of work. //Petra// AO
