37/ Jordan Launches First Universities Fair in Saudi Arabia
Amman, Sept 8 (Petra) – The first Jordanian Universities Fair 2025, dedicated to education tourism, opened Sunday at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Qurayyat, northern Saudi Arabia. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research said Monday the two-day fair is organized by the ministry and the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) in cooperation with Expert for Education. The event, inaugurated under the patronage of Qurayyat Chamber of Commerce Secretary-General Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Qabsani, features the participation of the ministry, the JTB, and several public and private Jordanian universities. The ministry said the fair is part of the executive plan of the 2023–2027 strategy for attracting international students, approved by the Cabinet, which seeks to promote education tourism and increase enrollment in Jordanian higher education institutions. It added that its strategic partnership with the JTB has supported national efforts in boosting education tourism, noting that international fairs provide a platform to showcase Jordan’s academic programs and specialties. The fair drew large crowds of students and their families exploring study opportunities in Jordan, while the ministry, the JTB, and Jordanian universities prepare to take part in other fairs in several countries throughout 2025. //Petra// AF
