Amman, September 7 (Petra) – President of the Jordan E-Sports Federation Prince Omar bin Faisal outlined a strategic vision for advancing the country's e-sports sector, which has already begun to see achievements despite its recent emergence in Jordan.

At a press conference, attended by Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Momani, Prince Omar discussed e-sports as a rapidly expanding field locally and globally.

The meeting included a presentation of the national e-sports strategy, with Prince Omar reviewing the Federation's efforts to develop the sector in collaboration with partners from both the public and private sectors.

He said the Federation is committed to expanding the player base and announced upcoming initiatives, including cooperation with the Ministry of Youth to introduce e-sports in youth centres and coordination with the Ministry of Education to explore integrating e-sports into school curricula.

Prince Omar discussed technical and organisational development in the field, citing Jordan's upcoming hosting of the Arab E-Sports League being held in the Kingdom for the first time this month as a significant step toward enhancing Jordan's position in the Arab and global e-sports arenas.

Momani, in turn, commended the Federation's progress and thanked Prince Omar for his leadership. He affirmed the government's support and stressed the importance of media engagement in promoting the sector and raising Jordan's profile internationally.

The meeting featured a review of Jordan's progress in e-sports, including past achievements and upcoming tournaments starting with the Arab E-Sports League, which will bring together competitors from 18 Arab countries.

Media professionals present underscored the importance of raising awareness about e-sports and called for increased media coverage to help spread the sport throughout the Kingdom.

They voiced readiness to support the Federation's efforts and thanked Prince Omar for his dedication to the development of e-sports in Jordan, expressing optimism for continued success at the Arab, continental and global levels.
