Gaza Strip, Sept 6 (Petra) – Sixty-eight dead bodies and 362 wounded people arrived in hospitals across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours as Israel stepped up assaults, the Gaza Health Ministry said on Saturday.

Among them were 23 people killed and 143 wounded at aid distribution sites, taking the total number of "bread martyrs" to 2,385 and more than 17,577 wounded, it said in its daily update of casualties.

It also said Gaza hospitals recorded six new fatalities from starvation and malnutrition, including a child, raising the total number of famine deaths to 382, ??including 135 children.

The latest casualties took to 64,368 the death toll from the war that began on October, 7, 2023, and the total number of injuries climbed to 162,367, it said.
